Obituary of Mark D. Kent

Mark D. Kent passed away on April 28th, 2024 at age 71. He was predeceased by his parents

Clifford A. Kent and Laura Case Kent.

He was born in Syracuse, NY, and graduated from Marcellus Central School where he was

quarterback for their undefeated season his senior year 1971.

Mark was an avid fisherman and accomplished fly angler who enjoyed fishing the Cattaraugus

River, Finger Lakes, the St. Lawrence River and various other waterways. He loved camping

with his family on the St. Lawrence River, fishing for northern pike, muskies and bass.

He worked in the cheese manufacturing business for 39 years. Mark was mozzarella

production manager for Lactalis/Sorrento, winning numerous awards and medals for the

internationally recognized cheese corporation.

Mark is survived by his wife Amy Drummond Kent, his son Kyle (Cami), daughter Allyson, and

four grandchildren Layla, Lucas, Lillyana, and Adelaide.

Family and friends are invited to call Friday from 3-5 pm followed by a 5pm Memorial Service at the Laing Funeral Home Inc., 2724 W. Church St. Eden, NY
